Planning Commission is seeking to appoint Chief Economist on highly competitive salary and benefits MO-1 scale. PHd economics or equalivant at least 15 years solid experience in managing research programs with around and 10 years in a policy related managerial position. Possess a track record of research on Pakistan in national or international research journal research work on emerging economics would be an added advantage. Recognized locally and preferably internationally as a respected authority in high level policy and or research work to development economics impacting operational strategy policy and program development. Substantial influence in one or more areas of development economics and has experience in sensitives consultation and negotiation at the highest level notable ability to work with senior Government officials to resolve complex economics problems or provide policy advice at national level.
